was thinking of heading out crabbing on Wednesday with my trot line. haven't run the line in this area for a couple years. I'm planning on launching at gulls point. in your opinion should I try and set up back by the plant or leave gulls point and head to the left toward the bridge and set up. also what water depth do people set there lines was planning on trying for around 4'. thanks for the info in advance.

You can do either this time of year. If you hang a left from Gull Point and head towards the inlet, it will be less crowded.
If there is a stiff breeze, it will be a little choppy at times. Up towards the Power Plant is more protected but can get crowded.

I was planning on heading out tomorrow morning and was going to launch at gull point and drop my line somewhere in that area. couple guys mentioned to stay away from the power plant area. where would you suggest in the general area? I'm staying in Lewes so would like to launch within 20 minutes from there.
