I'm trying to be patient with the crabs cause I don't keep females but I'm getting very anxious to go....Have a buddy that crabs commercially in the Sabine lake/river and he's still catching lots of females over there as well.

Finished the weekend with 70 blue crabs and 10 rock crabs. I moved the traps out further my last drop and caught bigger crabs.

Looks like the crabs are out in a little deeper water. Nice catch.

My regulator went out in middle of a crawfish, shrimp and crab boil. I was able to mess with it to get the first two pots cooked, but with 25 lbs of crawfish and a lot of hungry people it went all the way out. I had to drive all the way from the west end of the island to town at 7:00 pm on a holiday night. I was able to take back streets to avoid the traffic mess. Ended up with a new cooker, they did not have the regulator I needed. It got the job done.

The places in Texas where I crab, I've been catching lots of undersized (non legal) female crabs.

One crab or a good buzz? I will not be running my traps for at least a couple of weeks, my son is having open heart surgery Tuesday.
