Just want to remind all of you who crab at the Narrows.....................About a year or so ago, the Railroad Police were an on big time jag about tresspassers on railroad property. You have to trespass on their property to crab this area. The police, (Wareham and Railroad) issued many No Tresspassing notices and made several arrests (usually the big mouths......tresspassing is an arrestable offense in Massachusetts). The excuse for the action was that there was soon to be passenger service from the Cape and onto Middleboro and Boston. Well nothing has happened lately, but I heard that the passenger service thing is getting attention again. So keep your eyes open and shut your mouth. Rob Curtis reported a while back that they were active on the Canal as there right of way follows the Canal in the Sandwich and Bourne areas.............Rob's prime lobster grounds........otherwise known a Poacher City.
Let a word to the wise be sufficient.........not everyone thinks crabbers are the best people on Earth.

last year the train ran through there a few times , you could hear the whistle a couple of miles away. each time the train got to the road crossing at the bridge, it still had to wait for the crabbers to get off the bridge. if i was the rr co. i'd want that area shut down, but that only means that somewhere else will be invaded and trashed and the honest crabbers will be penalized. its a shame because it has great access. once again great to have the yaks to get me away from the shore crowd, a chance to explore new areas, and the best crab nobody else can get to!
