set off on due to an invite from my buddy to go clammin, all the years i been on the water and never been clamming. we went right out of bayview dr. in strathmere, nice free ramp with limited parking. got to the ramp with the boat i just got and boy was it pouring, rain was in and out for next 4 hours. I also brought 6 topless traps but decided not to set it due to wind. friend took me to clamming grounds and then the fun began, felt like a little kid again, doubles, triples, quads in a same hole. We has a short one hour window and I managed 108 and my friend 125, not bad for short time before the skies opened up and got pleted heading back to dock. first time clammin but surely not the last....cooked the small ones up and eat em and blended the big ones for clams and spaghetti..a great day overall and the new boat ran awesome...if only i would have better luck with trailer lights, any trailer light specialists in here....

Bad ground is a big problem. I run extra ground wires if necessary but my hitch usually grounds well. I mount my lights clear of the water on pvc upright pipes...never seem to replace lights or bulbs.
Nice job on the clams.  Grin

Nice job Nick,  I pick up several trailer lights for 6 bucks each  and just replace them when needed. Some years I will go though 4 but it beats spending hours trouble shooting.   Cabbycoot has the answer "I mount my lights clear of the water on pvc upright pipes"  That my next project   Hope to see you saturday

Actually I did replace one light...that telephone pole was a bit stronger than the plastic casing.   Cry
