Hi-I'm new to the forum. I have been crabbing for the past year or so at Romancoke Pier. No luck with crabbing for the first visit in mid-May.

I was wondering if there are any other piers that are good locations for crabbing? I have read people have been getting good catches at Crab Alley and it seems like most are from a boat w/ trot lines.. I wanted to know if there is a pier  at Crab Alley for hand lines and nets?

Thanks!

Yes there is just follow the road all the way to the end, it dead ends at the Boat ramp/pier
But you need a permit to park there

Thanks for the info! How much is the permit to park for a day and where can I get it?

May I also get the exact address for the Crab Alley Pier? Thanks!

Take the castle creek/ dominion exit off 50/301 and make the first right there is a bait and tackle store on the right.  (Last year a one day was 10.00)  Follow road signs to Dominion.  At stop sign make a right onto Little Creek rd.  It dead ends at the pier...If anyone else can be more specific please help///

$35 a year. $10 per day sounds right. I got year permit to crab on the lot last year. I personally think romancoke was a lot hotter than the lot (That's why I didn't renew my permit this year). But people do pretty well from the boat. So it's wasn't that fun for me sometimes seeing bushels when I had my 4 crabs.
