When is this wind ever going to lay down. Another rough day on Lk Pontchartrain. S/SW 15-20. When you're 10 miles out it makes it a rough day.
67 pounds of no. 1's 73 pounds of 2's (fat crabs) sold to restaurant
20 pounds 1's, 58 pounds 2's, 24 pounds females, 39 pounds of factory sold to dock
281 pounds total. Still threw some overboard.
Only half of my line caught. If this continues I'll have to move traps.
Joey, The crabs are thickest 1 1/2 miles West of C1 and the pipeline. East and North of C1 didn't produce much. Few good crabs but mostly skinny and small. Water came way up but if this SW wind persist it won't stay up for long.
I'm doing about the same on average as you are. Everyone is doing about the same. Doesn't matter if the traps soak two days or 5 days. Basically the same catch. Everyone is complaining and the big crabs are mostly white. Probably tossed 50 lbs of number ones last trip. I'm goanna try and sneak out before work tomorrow and beat the NE blow. Might be a real short trip. Oh probably have 100 shoftshells in the past 3 weeks. It's something.
