Is it just me or most of you other crabbers having poor success this year so far?  First trip out we barely caught a bushel...Second trip out...3 crabs.  After reading alot of the other crabbing reports, it looks to me like O'Malley's prediction of bountiful harvests this year is way off base.

I been out 9 times this year and never got lees than 50 keepers. I run 30 traps and have not pulled them more than more than 6 times each trip. I have not crabbed north of the Choptank yet. This has been my best start in the last 4yrs but not as good as the early 90's my 2cents

I'm  not sure what report you read. Or maybe you didn't read the dredge report at all.

I think that Comrade Governor O'Malley's tax hikes and excessive, strangling regulations have driven the crabs into Virginia or Delaware.  Smart crabs.

If those crabs migrated from south of the border, our Guv would welcome them as "new Americans".

But crabbing has generally been better for me this year, although I've had some not-so-great days.
