New user headed to NC in a couple weeks

Hello,

I'm an avid outdoorsman. Grew up in rural Indiana, now live in California. I enjoy fishing here in CA when I have the time. I will be heading to NC in a couple weeks for an annual family vacation. I am new to crabbing, but really want to give it a try. I also want to give shrimping/clamming a try as well. I will be in the Topsail area. Any specific tips, tricks or good fishing spots in that area would be appreciated!
