Sunday afternoon 4-7, 1200 foot of necks. Arrived to a flood tide. Caught 14 jumbo crabs and missed 6 of the stealth variety. We moved once but no improvement. Jelly fish were everywhere. Went for a swim water temp on bottom was much colder then top. Finally got a 5 hp motor for our john boat and had a blast chasing crabs. Good Luck be safe, remind others about how dangerous it is to throw a wake around small water craft. There was a yahoo running by schnaitmans at full bore. No respect for anyone or anything. Also saw some of the commercial boats are now doing booze cruises. Love to see the youngins having a good time expecially the young ladies in the bikinis.

agree with your last sentence.
Agree with the yahoo sentence too. Seen a 36 ft. boat come flying past a 12ft. boat with 2 young kids in the 12 ft. boat. Just about sank the boat, it wasnt pretty. Even sent me for a roller coaster ride! I am in the market for a bazooka now!

Man i cant count how many times i have been slammed with wakes when i was in my 12 footer. I cant believe people have no respect on the water. I even sold my 12 for a 21 footer with a cuddy for that reason. Just be safe out there and respect others!!!

There was a 6MPH limit buoy marker out there until a season or 2 ago between Skipton creek and the ramp. With or without it, the yahoos don't know enough to slow down. Been meaning to send an email to the govt. agency that's responsible for the maintenance of such buoys to report it, but I'm afraid any reply I receive will contain the phrase "due to budget cutbacks".
Anybody know which agency handles buoy maintenence?

That bouy should be there anyhow because of the sandbar there that comes half way out in the river. They removed the poles around the quarter creek area that were on the sandbars and replaced with bouys. Probally because the yahoos were running into them.
