Hi everyone!  I've found a nice little spot for crabbing and plan on going again tonight.  My father has requested that I bring him a few crabs to steam up for Saturday.  My question is, how do i keep the crabs i catch tonight (thursday) as fresh as possible for a saturday afternoon BBQ?  I've heard of laying newspaper over the crabs with a bag of ice on top all within a cooler.  Any other ideas?  All input is much appreciated!

Make a keeper pot out of an old or cheap crab pot by closing up the inlet holes.  If you have a slip keep it sunken in the slip so nobody can see it or put a bouy on it and put it out somewhere.

Thanks a lot, but submerging the crabs is not an option for me.  Any other advice?
