What size do they need to be in FL?

NJ is 4.5".

No size limit down here. Granted there ain't much meat in a small crab, but the reasoning behind it is that we use small (dollar coin size) crabs for bait for different species, including permit, tarpon, etc. And for some reason the "bag limit" is 10 gallons down here.....guess they never heard of bushels down here.....LOL

There is a 5 in size limit on Commercial harvest

Never heard of that, but I have never looked into the comm regs. If that is correct, then I wonder how they get around that size limit so they can harvest the boat size crabs?

well im from md and buy crabs for a living so if any of you know anyone looking to sell some southern crabs mail me or call 443-366-5173 be glad to buy some and to answer all of yous questions jo and beer are equalizers of all types of crabs then size really does matter after that lol
