Was at the beach today in pot nets and the water was loaded with dead one to two inch juvenile crabs.  I counted over 50 in the one little area i was in.   Also there was a dead flounder floating in the water.  Not a good sign.....

You sure the dead crabs weren't shed husks?

I saw a lot of dead washed up crabs on the inland bay beaches, but the heat might be a factor too in the really back bays with algae blooms.

Totally agree..This heat, and lack of rain have the back bays pretty still.  Heard there was a fish kill in Silver Lake in Rehoboth.

That happens every year in Silver Lake when the heat is on

I was working on a project about improving the WQ for that pond.  Be interesting to see where it goes.

I been messing around the Rehoboth Bay by Bay City, but this weekend I'm gonna rock that power house by that chicken farm ditch.  I figure if you guys get out by 8am, I should be out by at least 6am to take your spot Grin
