low tide was at 1:30 a.m. got on the water just before midnight.  Could of asked for a better night, slight breeze, good crabbing and tons of fireworks coming from the neighboring ghetto..   stopped counting after 50  will give count and sizes after they're cleaned. off the water at 2:45 a.m.   final count was 54 all jimmies  all over  5 3/4"  3 were over 7" biggest 7 3/8".  the best of scapping is you only scoop the ones you want aka the big ones.

Very impressive! Would like to know where exactly you were but if that is your private honey hole, I'll understand. Beautiful pic and size!

Hi Matt:

Impressive catch.  It looks like its shaping up to be a great year in CT if your'e able to catch that many big ones by scaping this early in the year (its not even July 4th!)  It's telling me that the bigger crabs (jimmies)  which seem to be plentiful this year have already started to move in from the deeper water (looking for females to mate); most years this doesn't happen for until mid to late July!  Thanks for the reports!
