Floats for crab traps

I am trying to find either foam or some other floating material to use on some new collapsable traps I bought but I can't find the foam I need anywhere! I live in the Annapolis area. Any suggestions?

I am not sure what you are looking for but I cut up a kids swimming noodle and used it to keep the rope above my ring traps. Very cheap and works for my application.

why don´t you try some empty soda bottles that´s the way it´s done down here. Of course I´m talking about empty plastic bottles with their cap on, but make sure to tied ´em up with a good knot or they´ll float away. and of course you´ll lose your trap

Thanks for the idea of the swimming noodle, I hadn't even thought of that. I'm sure those will work great. Thanks!

I just made some floats using noodles cut to about 12" and ran a 1/2" PVC pipe through them. I put a PVC "T" on one end to attach the line. I wanted one end a little heavy so they would stand up in the water. And man, are those noodle colors bright!
