Will 30lbs of chicken necks be enough bait for a 1200' snood line?

Awesome!  I can take a few extra pounds in case we need to re-bait and I will freeze the rest for the next trip!

I usually cut them into 2-3" chunks( with sharp commercial fishing shears)...some guys I know use the whole neck....to each his own but I catch bigger crabs on smaller baits.... but big necks obviously last longer.

I cut my necks into 1/3's.  I use about 15 lbs. per 1200ft. when spaced at roughly 4ft. apart on the line.  A 40lb. flat will usually last me about 4-5 trips unless the crabs are tearing it up.

Big necks don't catch as well imo.
