Went out on the wye with 800 ft. trotline and 18 traps baited with bull lips and chicken necks. Started crabbing at 6:00 and ended at 10:00. Ended up with 18 crabs and 2 peelers, 6 crabs between 7 1/2 - 8 1/4 inches. Disipointed with amount of keeper crabs, but we caught at least 2 bushels of 3 - 5 inches. One more slough and it should be loaded with keepers.

Thanks for the report. I was going to run down in the morning but your report is identical to what I saw Friday afternoon the 29th. Have a safe weekend!

When and if all these little crabs reach legal size its going to be insane crabbing. I would of had a bushel in less the 2hrs on a pier in crab alley 2 weeks ago.

I think in a month it will be extremely good crabbing, but until then we will have to work for what we catch, cant wait until the great crabbing

I figure the little ones will hit 5", right when the limit increases to 5.25". The good news is, anything you catch right now is already steamed.
