So, my family and I went fishing at point lookout for the first time yesterday and pulled up quite a few of these fish. We have never seen them before, and were curious what they were? I thought, after looking at some pictures, it could be a spotted seatrout, but this doesn't seem to have enough spots? Every picture I find of spotted seatrout have them peppered in spots.

Thank you! Smiley

Thanks, everyone! Smiley That was the first time we've ever caught one, so we had no idea what it was. laugh We ended up catching about 10 on rods, and also got a few in the crab nets. It was bugging us that we weren't sure what they were, and the picture in the fishing book was very misleading (the picture of the red drum is waaaay redder than the fish is in reality).
