I agree and if you saw my response to CrabbyD ,aknowledge my mistake.I agree wholeheartedly with your whole approach to dealing with comms and really in life in general when a potentially volatile situation occurs I always say it's like a match has been lit,it can either be put out or gas can be poured on it,an aplogy or kind word can defuse the situation and harsh words will fuel the flame. My fault again for putting everyone in one category, and I've never had any experiences with any Comms so I shouldn't have commented that way in the first place, and in reality I should know better because i make my living as what has become a nationwide term,a "slumlord" and I'm anything but.

No Harm No foul... like I say.. you reap what you sew........  what comes around goes around..... do good things then good things follow you back....
Not a big deal.. you had good day on the water with your family and friends and there are a lot of good folks on here regardless of their crabbing status rec vs comm

The guy had 20 chicken necks (I am guessing necks)in the water.  Not thousands of feet of trotline or several hundred crab pots.  That is low budget recreational crabbing at it's finest.  Do the math.  If he had 1,000 baits in the water for the same amount of time (in theory)he would have caught 50 bushels.  Do you have many 50 bushel days POPS324?  If he would have had more gear he would have been done much quicker../...Great report and great catch Dave!

Well i was happy for the guy to be honest since it sounded like he had a blast. As far as your theory of 50 bushel a day i would love that but unfortunately its not realistic. I ended up with 19 bushel today and had the first 3 in the boat before light with 3k feet in the water. Do you consider that "thousands of feet"
I think i know how to catch a crab or two bud!
