Left out of oceanic marina at 7am, only boat out. 20 traps with bunker and chicken. started at red bank, whick produced a couple keepers every run. by far the biggest crabs i've ever seen in my 25 years of crabbing!!! after a couple of hours seemed to slow down to almost a crawl. moved up river and hit  the mother load!!! at least 18 crab over 6" out of 20 traps on every run! end the day with 97 crabs all over 6" and ALL male!
The lady at oceanic i think on this site her name is salty V took abunch of pics to put on her website. Oceanic is a top notice place and by far THE BEST place to rent on the navasink!!!

My thoughts on all these large rogue male crabs in the river.Hurricane Irene changed this river dramatically especially in RED BANK I think there was a huge kill off of smaller and female crabs.I wish I knew someone who could check this theory out.I know CAPTAIN FRANK agrees with me about IRENE.We were both there the day after it and you could not believe what that river look like in RED BANK.

It was more of a stream with debris everwhere so much fresh water went in it and sucked out all the salt and crabs with it.

Now off my soapbox very nice catch I had very similar results the last few weeks.
