Crabbing for me has been tough this year. Worst year I've ever seen. Still, I keep trying new areas to crab. Anyhow, has anyone crabbed at Mahan Park near LaMarque, Tx? It's real close to Highland Bayou Park.

I know the park you are talking about, but have never crabbed there.  They do have a boat launch there, if you have a boat.  I've got five traps out at Highland Bayou Park now.  I'll run them on Friday morning.

When are you planning on going?

Craig,

Me and my next door neighbor have been thinking of coming on down this Saturday morning.

After looking at Highland Bayou Park with Google Maps, that narrow opening into the Park's water off the main channel looks like a natural spot to catch some crabs if the tide is running.

I've got an OK Scupper Pro TW (14'9" long, 26" wide) sit on top kayak, but my neighbor doesn't.
