Arrived at RBM@ 615. We were 3rd in line and hit the water at 715. Sky was overcast so we set up between the motorists bridge and the railroad bridge. Crabs were running early and after 90 mins we filled half a bushel with sizes ranging from 4 1/2-7 1/2in. It slowed quite a bit after but we managed to fill the bushel(total 120 crabs) by noon. We used chicken in traps and hand lines with most being caught by the latter. A great day had by all.

Ok guys I understand you questioning of the post and I will post pics at a later date. We used 2 bushels to divide them by size and we threw back smaller of the catch. I assumed if we combined the two it would equal a bushel. The count was 120. No mistaking that.
Btw am I able to add pics from my iPhone thx

Best way to post pics from your iPhone is to e-mail them to yourself. It will ask you when you send them what size you want to send, sSelect small size and it should reduce the pics enough to post without resizing, save them to your PC from your mail and post from that file location.

don't get hung up on the number of crabs in the bushel guys. think the point here is that the crabs are there in more numbers now.

The number if feasable, it just means the average size is between 4.5 and 5 inches. I personally would rather have 30 #1s then 60 #2s but you can't really control what comes out of the water.

Nice catch WTG!! That's a lot of cleaning!! But well worth it. People who have been saying the Sink is dead and the Hurricane changed everything will now see that is not the case all the juvies are coming out now in full force. It's only going to get better from now to the fall... |
