Went out yesterday in the rain and was rewarded with about 18 nice keepers. Its getting better every day. They do not seem to be very agressive yet so to me the traps work better now, they are still a bit difficult to keep on the drop lines. Last year I was able to pull the drop line a foot out of the water and they would hang on because they were fighting over the food but not this year yet.

I've been having the same problem.  Over half the crabs that take the bait are dropping off the lines.  I've still been getting a good amount of keepers though.  Where in patchogue do you crab? Nevermind...just saw your other thread.  I might have to try that place out.

I'm glad to see that the blowfish are not as bad as they were last year, or as good depending on if you want blowfish or crab, I want crab. I only got a few blowfish this year and they have been about 6" long. Last year they started to get bad later than this though so we will see.
