Mid bay western shore was location. Headed out with my old man this morning to one of our late summer secret honey holes. Its a back in the wood creek that produces very heavy crabs every year in late July. DOUBLERS! DOUBLERS! DOUBLERS! is all i can say. We hit a serious batch of big doublers like i have never seen. Out of the 40+ crabs we cought, 30 were doubled up. Surprisingly few small crabs where we were. Worked 25 traps in 8 foot of 81 degree water. Things just completely died off around 9:30 so we called it. Best quality crabs this season so far. Here's a few pics of the action. Had a nice family crab feast with mom, dad and sister.

Congrats on the haul, we only took home 2 doz keepers and one was a doubler. Saw a butt load of dark muddy and rusty crabs, but they were almost all dinks. Probobly caught 3 bu of crabs tons of small males and small females. Moved the line 4 times but to no avail!

Nice job and some good looking crabs! I have only seen a few doublers this year, and a tone of undersized crabs. Looks like you found some bigger ones. Enjoy them!
