We need to start a thread in which we all talk chit about him - then delete it before he gets back - then when he posts again we can all tell him how much we missed him.

That's pure evil...when do we start?

tuna were all but gone..no dolphin...Had about 20 whites up...hooked 4...released one in the 70-80lb range. Loooong way to run for one release and no tuna...cnt get them everytime but had a great time and caught some buzzfish
we were 89 miles off around the 1000 fathom line.. strange feeling when you dont see a boat in open water for 90 miles and when you get there it looks like a parking lot..lol report was the same for most of the boats...One boat beside us had a 300lb blue on for about an hour....then dropped 3 bags of ice off to a white fisher that had a tuna bycatch and took no ice... overall a pretty boring trip but still learned a few things and had a great time with some friends and some nice bluewater.
and its nice to know when im gone...... you guys still seem to follow me
ya'll must have missed me...makes me feel all warm and fuzzy....kinda like a welcome wagon

Raising 20 whites in a day is awesome! Why only 4 hook ups though? Were they just not aggressive and just following ?
I'd take a day like that with no tuna over a day full of tuna any time!
Back in the day, we would leave the tuna to try and find the marlin (if thats what the customer wanted anyway).
Great report and thanks for the memories.

Pm me if you want more info than this...... its a private boat.. takes friends and family mostly. and a few friends and clients. he loves to fish but these older guys don't like to chunk
we had to beg for him to pull some meat yesterday. usually just runs all teasers/chuggers and plastic. most hits were actually on a pink squid chain but did lose a few baits off the rigged hoo's.. marlins not really my game but it was still fun. I like to tuna fish and would love to chunk but that won't come til my bosses uncle gets his boat finished and up and running again.. ran out of IRI 11:50pm friday night and got back in at 7:30pm to dock.. cleaned up til about 9 then dinner.... gets to be a long day..even with naps..lol
and we had one on early but most bites came sat afternoon around 1-4pm.. prob had 10 in the set and 4 hits in that time.. also got a short go pro underwater vid of the one we did release.. Ill try to get it ...hopefully soon..I watched it on the laptop down there and it was pretty cool
