It will be a good fall/early winter in the ditch.....sometimes moving gear just a few feet can make a difference.....

Did you end up pulling the traps?
This has been my first year lobstering the canal.
Started last Feb. Did very good March thru May, not so good in the summer or fall. Bait would only last in the traps a couple days
and I could only check them once a week at most.
Lately been taking 3-4 keepers on average per week.
How come your pulling your traps?
I did very well in March last year and only need to rebait once every 2 weeks as the bait lasts a lot longer this time of year.

When you said pulling, thought you meant pulling out permanently.
Sorry, my bad (newbie)
Went down this past Monday night to "pull" mine.
Canal was filthy from the storms.
Haven't checked in about 4 weeks.
4 eggers and a short.
Nice getting the extra daylight in the evening to be able to get down there.
Rebaited, I'll pull again in 2 weeks.
Nice night tho, no wind, warmer, couple beers on the bank.
Nice to get back to it, lobsters or not.
