Had my best trip of the year this weekend on the North Shore of Lake Pontchartrain, .  We ran 22 pots and kept 62 crabs.  However, the size was still small-medium.  For some reason the larger crabs we did find were dead or died on the way home.  There were two 8" that were dead when we pulled up the pots, bummer.  The crabs were mostly full and sweet.  Kids had fun as usual.  Problem is, kids are getting to where they know what to do and I don't get to play as much as I like as they are doing everything.  I just drive the boat and they fuss at me when I miss a float.  Also had 3 flounder, 2 rat reds, 1 sheepshead, and a stingray in the pots.  Hope things keep picking up and we have a better fall than we did summer.

Nice report. Good photos too. I remember when I was a small kid. I loved going crabbing with my dad.
