thumbsdown  Tried yesterday for about 45 minutes with traps and chicken necks in deeper water and got three.  I thought I heard the fat lady singing here in Delaware.  Never picked back up after the nor'easter a week ago.  Pulled them up, told the three I'll get'em next year, and went striper fishing and got skunked at the IR Inlet.  Undecided Weather was great! Smiley Gone to try one more time this friday. yes

Sorry to hear the crabs didn't cooperate, but the striper action should be getting better!!  Cool

Mike, Don't give up yet. Last year caught 2 bushells on the trotline the week before Thanksgiving in front of gull point. They should be there for another couple weeks. Hope to get down this weekend with traps. I'll let you know how I do.

Jeff,  That's where I dock my skiff.  Thanks for the reminder and at what depth did you try?  I hope to see you out there and I look forward to your report.

Did you ever trotline the hot side of the IR power plant?

Mike,
Crab on that side on Easter Weekend every year. A lot of small ones and usually a couple dozen keepers. This year Easter was early and only got a dozen. Haven't had to crab up there in the fall since the crabs are still out in the river. Haven't tried December yet but if it stays warm this year might try. Don't know which I'll be out on. Sat or Sun. Have to see what work I have to do. I have a place in Riverdale. I'll be in a little blue 15' foot fiberglasss crabbing boat with a 9.9 Mariner. Just doing traps this weekend. If you see me, stop and say hello
