I was running a little shedding system as an experiment and one of the crabs that shed when I took it out of the water startes Shaking and all of the sudden just lost its legs, they just fell off has anyone seen something like this? why did this happpend?

that crab was a drunk and has not had a drink in awhile...... put it in a container with some JD and it will be fine.....

I hooked a crab on my rod. Pulled him up and the hook was in his claw. I picked the rod up and held him in the air in an attempt to remove him. Then he dropped, and all left was his claw on the hook. He scattered away into the water. Self ambutation is awesome.

It's survival KC, just like some animal will chew his leg off to get out of a trap, only not like the crab his leg don't grow back.
