hi yall, it looks like youguys are all expert!!!
well, I live in Arlington, VA, and my friends and I (around 10 people) are planing to go for crabbing for 1 day or 2 days. But guess what? I know nothing about it. I need your help.
where is good place to go (short driving can be good because I am an pregnant), and what I need to bring?
When i searched on the web, they had boat which provides everything, but it looks like expensive. So I am thinking crabbing at the shore or pier.
Any suggestion?
Thank you for your time.

There are puplic peirs in Southern MD about an hr or so away. This is basicly how to crab and what you need From another place in this website

I would recomend the chicken neck method from a pier, doesnt require alot of equiptment or skill.
MAKE SURE YOU GET YOUR LICENSE and have FUN!!!!

where you can go has a lot to do when you expect to be going. This time of year the further south the better. As the water gets warmer then you will have more choices on where to go.

...being pregnant, it might not be a good idea to handle the prefered bait (chicken necks). Use the site to learn how to do it, but let someone else handle the bait. I wish you the best of luck with the crabbing and pregnancy,
