Dont know for sure, and never heard of "Vals"
The Hardshell Cafe? Heard there is a place on Rt 70 east of Marlton, but not sure. Moby Dick in Lindenwold used to have em too. There is a bar in Vineland I think that has em too, but I don't know the name. I know, not much help. There are some places that have them in season, certain nights also. Oh well. Thx VAL

Hardshell cafe in Marlton is OOB and had possibly the worst food and service I've ever experienced. Try DiNardo's in Philly, or place in Burlington, NJ called Blue Claw Crab Eatery, not sure if they have all you can eat though.

Not to dissagree Russ....but I live in Philly....DiNardos is overated and overpriced as far as Im concerned..
...for my money...you have to go to two neighborhood taprooms..one is Bonks at Richmond and Tioga...the other is Boncelas at Orthodox and Emerald sts...great crabs, steamed or boiled, with Michelob on tap....now thats eatin

Thanks for the tip, Rick. I've never been to DiNardo's just seen the advertising. For mussels, I used to go to MAX's Cafe in Gloucester City, NJ. Some say it's changed, I gotta try it again. I'm gonna try those places in Philly too....

I know the Hardshell is closed. A friend today told me there is a place in Medford, near McDonalds that has all you can eat I believe Tue/Thurs.

Never tried that, maybe I'll give it a go.....
I once went to the Tabernacle Inn on a recommendation but when I got there, found out it was snow crab not blue claws. Guess when asking I have to be a little more specific....

Isnt there a place on rt 47 between Bellmar and Westville (sj Bellmar not the shore one) called Crabbys or something like that. I went there a few years back and when I drive by they always have all you can eat crab sign outside. Just dont drink the water. You will regret it. Go with beer its safer.

I want to revive this thread for new info. I'm a Maryland girl, and I'm meeting a Rhode Island friend for the weekend in Ocean City/Atlantic City NJ (we were both born NJ girls.)
Doesn't even have to be all you can eat but she is dying for GOOD BLUE CLAW crabs. Any suggestions? It's been years since I was there... thanks!

Still, just like last year, I have to disagree w/KC..re:Di Nardo's,Bunks.
Sauce much better at DiNardo's...and if you call ahead to get crab sizes that night, they're pretty honest. I've had some pretty good ones...but last 2x were great, huge. I take the dipping sauce home and freeze it for crabs when I catch them....
Hope you get to give both a try!!

I have to admit, I probaby went to DiNardos all of these years mostly for the dipping sauce and somewhat the big crabs. However, we took Kingcrabber's advice about Boncelas. We went there on Friday and it was great!! It will be one of our new crab places. The service was great, the crabs were fresh (nice size), and the beer was cold. It was a great neighborhood hangout. As an added plus - the bill was a third of what we would have spent at Dinardos.
