Anybody out there have any info on these Flotida gulf side areas ?
I sure would like to have some input before I travel up there !
I do know, that there is a boat ramp and a fishing pier at both places.

The only thing i can tell you is that the commercial crabbers are not doing very well in that area, but that may change after the storm passes

Thanks R D ,
Looks like the storm is headed right through there.  However we do need to rain. Between the spring winds and the Red Tide last year , I'm almost ready to relocate to the east coast.  Roll Eyes

Ray, I've not crabbed there, but ran into a fellow crabber over near Titusville last year that mentioned he has had a lot of luck crabbing off Ozello Road. If you give it a try I would be interested in your results as I've been thinking of trying it out some day.

I'll definitely let you know, as soon as this storm passes.

Let us know how it goes over there. Maybe we'll plan a trip after I finish re-decking my pontoon.

OK guy's here it is ;  Embarassed

I took a trip over to Ozello yesterday and was not impressed. Mud and oyster bottom and no grass that I could see.  Ran into a couple of guys that had been there since daylight and they only had a half bushel of medium crabs. This was at 3pm. at the fishing pier on Davis Rd.   Nothing but fishermen at the boat ramp.

I'll be headed to Hillsborough bay in Tampa sometime this week. I'll let you know whats happening there on my return. Grin

Sorry to hear you weren't Impressed with Ozello, my urge to diver over and give it a try has been  slowed a bit with your report. I guess I'll stay on the Atlantic side for now. Thanks for posting your results.
