Let me start out by saying hello to everybody in this forum.  I've come across some usefull info recently.  The only thing I can't seem to locate here is where a good place is to go.  So I figuired I'd ask the pros.  I was going down to point pleseant last year to crab but didnt get into it until late in the year. I caught a measely 3 crabs but HAD THE BEST TIME DOING IT,  thats what its all about.  Can anybody give me some suggestions on where to go in that area or close to it.  Thanks

South.  No further that long beach island though.  Went down to point pleseant to the same place I went to lat year and caught about 40 shorts and 3 keepers.  Mostly females.  Some large ones too.  Tossed everything back though.

LBI is pretty far north, is that the furthest south or north you will go?  Everything I could tell you would be South jersey.  Are you looking to rent a boat or crab from land?

I think the only boat rentals are along the causeway from Manakawkin to LBI.  I used to have an aluminum boat I put in at Harvey Cedars.

Every summer when im down in Point Pleasant, me and my family go to Starck's Landing. We've had alot of success there in the past 2 years.  Last year we caught about 3 dozen KEEPERS. anything under 5 inches we throw back. Of course your gonna get the small ones and the females and alot of throwback but at least its action. we crabbed for about 6 hours and it was action non stop. Starcks Landing has a good set up for boat rental and all that.  i totally recommend it.
but here's a couple spots along with Starcks.
 in Brick - Barnegat Bay

Baywood Marina 63 Pilot Drive, Brick, NJ   732-477-3322
Starcks Landing 728 Princeton Ave, Brick, NJ   732-892-7558
Trader's Cove Mantoloking Road #6, Brick, NJ   732-349-5449

GOOD LUCK
