It started off very sloooowwwww.  For the first time I thought we were going to get skunked.  But perseverance paid off and although not a lot of crabs they were big ones.  We ended up with a heavy half bushel and a nice steamer full of jumbo crabs. Quality not Quantity was the theme today.  We even managed to dock by 10:30am.  All and all not a bad day. Smiley

Well, I finally got out for my first trip to the Why on Sat. as well.  Got on the water with my 5 yo. son about 10:30; this works well because you can usually get a spot right at the ramp.  Well, went ot straight from the ramp, about 2-3 miles, and set out 10 traps and 700' of line.  I really wanted my son to dip a few crabs.  To make a long story short, we got skunked!  Not a single crab.  heard that there was a few others that had bad days as well.  I guess that I did not go far enough out.  Better luck next time.
