Set out 4 full sized pots and 3 (  1/2  ) size this time . Baited with croakers and pin fish. Made 2 pulls approx 24 hours apart. Ended up with 52 crabs with 31 keepers. 11 stone crabs with just 1 having a nice sized claw. Caught 2 sponge crabs which is good to see- have not seen many this year and caught 1 small flounder.  I did set 6 pots the first of September and the results were so bad I was ashamed to report. I caught just 13 keepers in 4 days using FRESH flounder scraps for bait as the keeper season opened. Have no idea why is was so poor . Been drum fishing and wearing them out. Most in the slot ( 18-27 inch ) but several over 30 inches as well.

Nice report Sax, hope the crabbing picks up for you. Sounds like the drum fishing was better.  Where you using bait or artificial?  Thanks for the report.

Hey Greg- been using finger mullet on a carolina rig in 1-2 foot of water. Seem they only want to bite at low tide. It got where seagulls were actually landing on the water and picking up my bait and flying off with it.

Awesome, you did well on those Reds! They love to root around in shallow water, they don't call them Hog's for nothing. Nice catch man.
