Hatteras Island

I am renting a house on the sound in Hatteras the end of may for a week and it has a dock into the sound.  Thinking this would be a great place to try my had at crabbing.  Has anyone here fished that area with success?

those ditches and creeks are all pretty good. You may want to ask around the marina's also and see if they would let you set a few lines off their docks.
