Took a doe for a buddy of mine who doesn't hunt but loves his venison.  Checked it in and then went back out with a flashlight and got lucky and found my arrow.  Washed it off and checked it out and the three blades are still good, so I didn't have to replace any.  Tip of the day on the next step though...instead of buying packs of those retention rings to "re-load" your broadhead (since I put three kids through braces) I have tons of bags of those little rubber bands which are ideal for keeping the broadhead blades in position.  Fun to improvise and have success.  I have a bunch if anybody wants some.

Indoe if you want a doe for the freezer let me know, you can come on over and take one.  You're not too far from me.  Crossbow/Howard County

Thanks for the offer. But I'm sure I will get one. Just haven't had the time to get out much during the holidays. Hopefully early Jan.

Yep, no problem.  Let me know if you get skunked.  Pretty easy pickings for a doe around here.
