Hi everybody, I'm still learning about blue crabbing. On the last week of August I went to Banana River at Cocoa Beach with 2 traps and left them on the bridges for approx 5 hours (day time), getting two good crabs in one trap and none on the other one. Yesterday I went again, and on one part of the bridge, there was a high swell, and on the other, water was pretty calm, so I left 4 traps on that calm side ( at different points) for approximately 7 hours (since afternoon until almost midnight) and I got no crabs on any of the traps, it was very disappointing. I don't know what I did wrong. I know there are some hurricanes near Florida (Ian is coming for next weekend), Can it affect crabbing? and my other question is: It's there any mistake I committed over there? Is that my fault or is this something that can happen?

The good thing is that I caught three string rays and took them home.
