big problem for me and the herd. the herd will recover if the drought subsides but whitetails will do what they do ,breed. I  think it will take a year maybe 2 befroe things come back. Problem for me is i like venison and love the camp life in the club i've been in for over 30 years. i have another farm in carroll cnty and i will hunt there this sat and the 3 day late hunt. Paying the 675 per year for a couple years it will take to come back is conflicting for me.

Yes, and I think Nature now calls itself "them" and "thus", or whatever the f*ck these indecisive idiots say nowadays. I'll NEVER conform to this nonsense. "HE" and "SHE" is all there is for ME, with an occasional sprinkle of "IT".

back on subject, i hunted the last day of firearms, with my son at a close friends farm in unionbride, carroll cnty md. 20 mineutes into my hunt seen a buck waking slow through an open wood bottom at about 100 yds. i line up and rested in an open spot and waited . when the buck walked into the opening with crosshair was on center of shoulder i squeezed the trigger and down he went, i stayed in stand for another 20 min and heard my son shoot on a open pasture just 200 yards from me. i got down and walked to were i last seen my buck and he was dead, 5 pt scrube rack about 100 lbs. my son called me and said he had shot the biggest doe he had ever taken about 130lbs. So we are greatfull for the meat and will hunt again in the late season for just a little more for the freezer.

We lost our share in Sussex county too. We found this buck, and a couple of doe on my son's property. The buck scored 139" gross.
