Wow  :o "That reservoir was 120 feet deep when the dam was built. It's now 15 feet deep and they've never done anything to maintain it."
"Helping to Moderate the BCA since 2003" "I've gotten to the point in my life where I no longer give a [shiz] what people think, I'm not going to take any [shiz], because, frankly my dears, I am NOT in the [shiz] business." Quote from Suzy. :-)

When the water flow increases through the dam the sediment does a job on the Chesapeake.

The satellite pictures show the bay looking like a chocolate milkshake from all the sediment.

With the amount of money involved, Constellation with surly appeal to the Supreme Court.

It is a good thing that the State Of Maryland can't run the show, for now.

I have seen first hand the debris that comes rolling down the bay when they open up the gates at the dam.....small trees and logs that would literally destroy your outdrive....the Southern point at the entrance to the Sassafras river has piles of driftwood since that is a primary collection point for this debris.

Not surprising that Maryland Dept of Environment would cave if threatened by a large entity like Exelon. I work with those people often and they are not always staffed with the best and the brightest.

Hoping this leads to improvements in water quality but as another poster mentioned, they will certainly appeal the decision with what it will cost them to actually clean up the backside of that dam.
