Hey I was going to take my boat out in May after the first full moon and target soft shell for the first time. I was wondering if anyone has done that before in that specific location. I was going to drop a few traps, but also use scapping and Jimmy pots. This is all new to me, because I usually only go hard shell in summer fall and late fall. So any advice would be much appreciated. Just trying to do something different and itching to get out on my boat. Thank you!

I'd start a week before.  Usually 10 days with the full moon in the middle will be best. All depends on water temp.  Some times the new moon is the first peeler run.

You might miss the whole run... But only the crabs know.  ;) :(

This is how it's going to go.  After I kick your A$$ i'm going to run you through the wood chipper and put you in containers in the freezer to use in my crab pots!  The really sad part?  You let an old man kick your A$$!!!
