After all of the bellyaching in my previous post I had to post something positive. Here are pics from one of the best days I've ever had... These crabs were enormous!!!
This is from a trip in late March- I only caught about 18 crabs total but a few of them were whoppers. Check out the pics... you probably have to log in to view. Grateful for awesome days like this!

There are videos on youtube if you want to check out some random Florida crabbing adventures.  @Jimmiesandsooks

Thanks for the report and pictures! Good job. Don't fear I would expect the crabs to pick back up as the water warms

I went back and looked at your Youtube videos. You've done well there; better than me up here!

Since someone ate crabs, others must have eaten spiders as well.  However, they were not tasty.
So afterwards, people stopped eating them.   These people deserve our heartfelt gratitude  :)

Very nice, now that is what I am talking about. Just built a house and  moved here last month. Working remotely and will be retiring in early June and then its game on. Will have to hunt down Jim (Shellfish). Will also head over to St Marks and hook up with Ronnie Day.

:D

I will still crab Columbus Day on the Wye , already booked my charter,  Crabbed Columbus Day on the Wye every year since 2003. :o

Hope everyone is well haven't posted in a while.

Crabbing, enjoying the water, meeting new people, making new friends, that's what it's all about.

Great to see you post on this thread Joe!
We will have to get together once you get settled in down here!
The last time we crabbed together was 9-23-2005 on the Wye! I even found a picture you took of me that day!

Man oh Man my wife and I move here in June of last year.  It look about a year to get settled in but now I am getting ready for some crabbing days. It's 100 degrees outside this week so it's kind of dangerous for us 50+ outside in the heat.

I'm hoping that this forum group will help me find a few happy retirement days near the River.

SHELLFISH

John, You are in a better area (Port St Lucie) for getting big crabs than I am (Daytona).
Waiting to see your reports!
