Topsail sound June 8-12, 2023

Set out 8 pots once again and made 6 pulls in 5 days. Total caught was 101, keepers were 36, sponge crabs- released 5 which is more than I have caught in a long while, 7 stone crabs- collected 5 claws and 10 flounder.
Stayed until today- Thursday  ( 15th ) but didn't know anyone wanting crabs so I pulled my pots early. Headed back in a couple weeks.  Bait was once again mainly pin fish and croakers.

Good Job Sax, thanks for the report. You still crabbing the Topsail area? I bought some chicken necks, so I'm finally going to do some crabbing this year. Going to try in New Bern, will post up a report.

Yes Greg- still crabbing at Topsail. Hope your luck is better than mine has been. Last 3 years has been pretty bad.  Saw another guy pull a couple pots with just 1 keeper so he was relocating his. I did move mine around a bit but it didn't help.
