Cleaned out the bait freezer today. Decided to make up a Gordon Ramsay dish for the next time I set the traps. . . . .Maybe tomorrow or Monday

Mullet, Pinfish,  shrimp, Sand Fleas, blue crab parts, assorted fillers

Good luck when you go!
Maybe Riverbreeze or Biolab?

Not sure at the moment. I'm thinking of trying the Edgewater area. It depends on the weather.

Let me know and I'll meet you. I live in New Smyrna.

Grandkids came over for Fathers day so we rushed out Sunday and set the traps before the storm got here. The traps were packed tight with treats so I'm thinking of letting them soak until Wednesday.

Pulled the traps this morning after soaking 2.5 days........ :( :( :( :(

NOT A SINGLE BLUE CRAB

However, 15 Stone crabs did make their way into the traps. At least half of them had huge keeper claws!!! [dang]!!!!!!!

Thanks for the report but sorry to hear the outcome!
I had a buddy ask me where to crabb by boat with ring traps.
I told him that the catch all over our area is low right now.
He tried between north causeway and Ponce Inlet. Four hours and he only got one egger female!
Where did you try?
I have heard decent reports from Titusville and south or the Jaxsonville area.

Thanks for the reply! I'll check out Riverbreeze and Goodriches for crabbers this Sunday.
Saturday and Sunday 6-25-2023
NSB south causeway pier one couple crabbing 2 hours: one egger female.
Riverbreeze and Goodriches: no crabbers.
North causeway pier. 4 crabbers with 10 oversize ring nets and a 6 foot square net! 4 crabs in 4 hours.
I think the oversize ring nets about 24"+ are from academy sports.
The 6' square net is home made.  Still not good catches in my area!
