I knew they were eating the fish and I suspected they were eating crabs as well. I just had a friend catch an 80 lb bluecat in the Marshyhope last week.

They showed up in Holdens Creek about 4 years ago.  I fish for them almost every day.  What I have found is that the little ones eat everything up to about 20 inches.  Bigger than 20 inches I catch them excursively on live fish and cut bait. Honestly, I would rather catch big Blue catfish then Rockfish.  The Blues don't go "crazy fighting" like a rock does but they are plenty strong.  We like the Blues better than rock for eating.

I have noticed a drop in the number of common catfish but that's ok with me.

This one was about 12lbs.  My biggest so far.  They are getting bigger each years. :)

This is how it's going to go.  After I kick your A$$ i'm going to run you through the wood chipper and put you in containers in the freezer to use in my crab pots!  The really sad part?  You let an old man kick your A$$!!!
