I'm looking to launch my kayak for crabbing this year in the North cove old saybrook . Does anyone know the best location to launch from to access that area for non residents

The only place close is the ramp on Ferry Street and it's a long paddle to North cove.

check out the old saybrook town dock on sheffield street. it's a CT coastal access area right in the north cove. it's open to the public.
