Hello y'all. I'm new to crabbing. I just went Saturday for my first time. I bought some ring nets out of Walmart. Got chicken as a bait. I live on westside of Jax. Went crabbing I believe closer to hecksher drive area. It was by the carnival cruise ship. On maps it said (Dunn creek) was the body of water. We caught quit a few crabs. We went at 12 and by 3 it slowed down. I'm not too familiar with places around here to try. I sure had fun crabbing though. Tonight tried our luck at Stockton park in Saint John river and haven't had any luck. Do you guys know of some good spots? Any of the west side (etc)

Last year was the worst year ever in Jacksonville. Half way through the summer even the commercial guys pulled up their rigs in three coves where I usually crapp. Looks like it is coming back. Thanks for the information.
