Went out near Radio Road bridge with 9 topless traps and necks.....crabbed high tide 7am.....nothing! Not even small ones:( I hope the dredging last summer did not mess up crabbing in this part!

Water is still too cold down here.
Oh, de crab, he taste so fine.
Yuh catch 'um wid a neck an' a line.
Bile de water 'til 'e good 'n hot.
Den eat de crab strait from 'de pot.

Oh, de beer, he taste so chilly.
Drinks it 'til I gets too silly.
Washin' down 'de crab an' butter.
If I doesn't fall down, I'll 'ave anudder.

We aren' that far from Barnegat and they are catching nice ones over there:(

Yea I think you are right. In New Jersey you are probably just going to get a stray here and there this time of year.
Probably have to wait till like at least May 18th or 20th for any serious crabbing.
