After striking out striper and drum fishing Saturday, I talked my buddy into a striper, crabbing 1/2 day trip. Started the day with him catching a 20" striper on the second cast and thought this was going to be the day. One hour later and no more action, we baited up the traps and started crabbing. It didn't take long to see that it was going to be a slow start. Caught the first keeper on the second run. Cloud cover moved in, along with the winds picking up to make the chill in the air a little more miserable. Moved the traps a bunch of time, waited for the tide change, but it wasn't happening. Ended the day with 4 keepers along with 3 throwbacks. Would be nice to see the sun come out for a few days. Seen a bunch of commercial traps out in the bay.
