I was watching a youtube crabbing video and the commercial crabber mentioned that when The Naval academy has graduation, the Blue Angels doe an airshow or flyby. I'd love to see them. Was wondering how nuts it gets  that I could come down for the day to crab from my kayak (14' kaku zulu), in order to see the Angels. Or is the boat traffic so nuts, its not safe?

It's a great show. I haven't been since 2018 but even though it was a breezy day it was a crowd of boats. And very hectic especially as soon as it got over. I was with my buddy in his 26 footer and would not have wanted to be in anything smaller.
I love to fish, but I live to crab.

You would have a good time.

The Blue Angels actually do a full routine practice a day or so before the show. If you want to brave the boat traffic in a kayak, I would make sure I was in extremely shallow water to avoid the other boats. I'm sure you would see plenty! The Blue Angels post their performance schedule on the internet. Most of the time (depending on the conditions) Fat Albert and about 15 minutes later the Blue Angels, fly directly over my house (low and slow) lining up for their first approach run. They're low enough to see the pilots' faces!

Sounds like we should all just come to your yard to watch.   ;D

Only problem is, they only come that close when they're coming in quietly to set up their first run. I believe they like to "sneak up" on the crowd. Used to be able to see a lot of the vertical maneuvers, but the trees have gotten so high over the years I can't see anything
anymore. You can certainly hear them though!!
