Topsail sound May27-29

Set out 4 full sized pots and just 2 1/2 size this time. Made 3 pulls before taking the pots out. Caught 94 crabs total with 37 keepers and 2 stone crabs. One had a keeper claw this time. Also caught 3 flounder in the pots.
Crabs seem more plentiful this year in the area I crab at and I think its because of the huge difference in the amount of grass everywhere. I see lots of small crabs that I have not been seeing the past few years which is nice. Also caught 5-6 sponge crabs which I love seeing- Only caught maybe that many all of last year. Plan to be back in a couple weeks .
